We are prone to wander. It is so easy to get distracted and get off track with what we are doing or where we are going. Sometimes wandering can be wonderful, but it can also lead to danger. Join us as Pastor Bruce Mayhew brings a message from 2 Timothy 4 on dangerous wandering and how it is to be avoided.

WATCH MESSAGE NOW

We live in a world of followers. It seems like everyone is following someone. When things get tough we look to others for insight and direction. As a young minister of the Gospel, Timothy faced challenges that discouraged him and led him to look for answers. In the midst of this Paul gives Timothy essential advice on fulfilling God's purpose for his life.

Receiving God's forgiveness is a free gift of grace. However, following Jesus is costly. Why? When you come into a relationship with Jesus you become a part of another kingdom---not of this world. This places you in conflict with the world, the flesh, and the devil! So how do we handle this conflict?

Our country is divided. The world is at conflict. How do Christians operate a the Body of Christ in a world at war in so many ways? Join Pastor Bruce Mayhew as we look to Paul's instructions to Timothy on dealing with opponents in 2 Timothy 2:22-26.

Worship 10 am Sundays at 701 Formosa Avenue. Life Groups for all ages follow the service at 11:30 am.

Jesus spoke to them using this illustration: “Suppose a man has 100 sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the 99 sheep grazing in the pasture and look for the lost sheep until he finds it? When he finds it, he’s happy. He puts that sheep on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says to them, ‘Let’s celebrate! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ I can guarantee that there will be more happiness in heaven over one person who turns to God and changes the way he thinks and acts than over 99 people who already have turned to God and have his approval” (Luke 15:3-7, GW).

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May his grace and peace be with you today.

Giving of our tithes and offerings is an act of worship. God calls us to give according to what we have, not what we don’t have. We give in faith as he provides for us. The Apostle Paul wrote two chapters on giving to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 8 and 9), and he told them, “Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have” (2 Corinthians 8:12, NLT).

This is a great principle which I have seen practiced by many faithful Christians. I have seen adults place as little as $1.00 in an offering envelope and give, just so they could give as a part of worship. There are several ways to give:

The texting and online giving methods are secure methods provided through our church management software. The church does pay a processing fee for texting and online giving. These methods do however save us from having to physically count and process offerings. There is no fee to us when you use your bank’s online service or when a check is mailed to the church.

FIVE WAYS TO GIVE

1. Give in person at Gateway. We have offering boxes in the foyer and offering plates on the left and right sides of the camera in the sanctuary.

2 Write out your check mail it to Gateway Church 701 Formosa Avenue Winter Park, FL 32789.

3. Use your bank's bill pay service to give your tithes and offerings.

4. Text the amount you are giving to: (407) 543-0290.

5. Give online here (https://killarney.breezechms.com/give/online).

We have an offering time during our livestream services. I encourage you to use this time to worship God through giving. You may write out your check or text an offering during this time, or pray over the offering that you have given or will give.

Thank you for your love and faithfulness. I pray that God will protect you, give you his peace, and provide for your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:10-20).

God bless you and keep you! See you Sunday—in person or on livestream at Gateway Live.

In Christ,

Pastor Bruce
